SECTION GOAL

To develop in the students the understanding of the legal implications for purchasing, owning and using a firearm.

 

IL Firearm Concealed Carry Act (ILFCCA)

 

On July 9, 2013, Public Act 98-63, the Firearm Concealed Carry Act, became state law (430 ILCS 66)

 

Act covers concealed handguns ONLY

Concealed means a loaded or unloaded handgun carried on or about a person hidden from view of the public; or in a vehicle

 

Handgun is anything that can expel a projectile.  It does NOT include Stun Guns, Tasers, machine guns, short-barreled rifles, shotguns or pneumatic guns, spring guns, paint ball guns, etc.
