Basic Principals of Marksmanship

The basic principals of marksmanship takes a student through how to hold a handgun, how to stand with a handgun, how to align the sights, breathing and trigger control.

 

The Learning Objectives Include:

Firearm Grip

Stance

Sight Alignment and Sight Picture

Breath Control

Trigger Control

 

 

SECTION GOAL

To develop in the students the fundamentals of how to hold, aim and fire a handgun

 

A Firearm Grip should be

 

Comfortable

 

Thumbs and fingers should point toward the target

 

Strong hand pressure should be 40%

 

Support hand pressure should be 60%

 

Elbows should be Locked

 

PLEASE NOTE

This is a classroom only section.  We utilize multimedia presentations, demonstrations and students practice with non-functioning handguns in a fun, comfortable and focused training environment.
